Solve a murder in an old shotgun shack using visions from a ghost!

Intro

Ornare Oculos Team:

We are in need of your firm's unique skillset once more. We've had...unusual activity at the old shotgun shack on the edge of town. We've sent in other units, but they turned back as soon as things started getting active in there. The ghost is leaving some sort of cards out. They seem to be trying to give clues about their death, but all our efforts have ended in losses.

We need you to go in and figure out why this ghost is so volatile. Use your visions to solve this case. Go room-by-room through the shotgun shack and use your visions to figure out what the ghost is trying to tell you. The shack is full of clues. But be careful: when you go into a vision time gets wonky. But, guessing the wrong thing will bring you a lot closer to midnight. Trust me...you don't want to get to midnight. I know we've sold this job well, but as always, there's good money in it if you can stop the haunting.

Guide

The game takes place in 3 rooms of a shotgun shack. You must use the visions in each room to solve the murder. Once you select your guess, try to open the door to see if you are right. If you are wrong, time will be taken off the clock. If you run out of time, you die! 

Room 1 has 4 visions about where the ghost died. All the visions are symbolic of the correct room. There is only 1 right answer in each room, so use the visions to figure out your guess. Bear in mind, using visions uses some of your time, so if you have a solid guess after only 1 or 2 visions, it's better to not waste time! 

Room 2 has 4 visions about how the ghost died. 

Room 3 has 4 visions about the ghost's unfinished business.

Once you clear a room, there's no need to go back. If you clear all 3 rooms before time runs out - you win!

I loved the whole concept and at first I was confused but the game did a good job explaining what to do, great job!

It's a spooky little game, that I can fully recommend to check out for yourself, the answers and visions are randomly generated/picked each run which gives it quite a bit of replayability. I did question myself if the visions were AI generated, after taking a look at the assets before writing this comment I know they are, which would explain their unsettling, dreadful appearance. I wish you the best of luck for the jam and hope you'll create more games in the future.

Since we had the time crunch, we didn't include as much of a tutorial or guide. We added some more explanation on the itch.io page so hopefully it's easier for folks to get the mechanics (even if the visions themselves are very hard to guess depending on which you get).
